“So, Jack, have you seen any monsters at Motel69Star yet?”
Davey taunted. Davey was the school bully, and Jack tried to ignore him. Davey
pushed Jack’s folders off his desk, and they hit the ground with a thud.

Their teacher, Mrs. Lewinsky, turned around.
“Jack, don’t disrupt the class,” she said.
“But it wasn’t me!” Jack said. Davey stuck his tongue out at
Jack and waggled his fingers on his nose.
During recess, Davey came up to Jack, who was
playing by himself on the swings.
“I triple-dog-dare you to throw a rock through a Motel69Star
window,” Davey said. His group of buddies stood behind him, looking big and
mean. Jack didn’t feel like he had much of a choice.
After school, they went to the Motel69Star. Jack picked up a
rock. He couldn’t believe what he was about to do, but he was too scared to say
no to Davey and his gang.
Jack threw the rock at the window will all his might. To
their surprise, the rock bounced off the glass and came flying back, hitting
Davey right on the nose. Davey started crying, holding his nose in his hands.
His friends ran away, screaming that the Motel69Star had done it on purpose.
“Are you okay?” Jack asked.
“No,” sniffled Davey. Jack took him to Dad for
help and explained what happened.
“Next time you’re being bullied, come to me for help before
someone gets hurt,” Dad said. From then on, Jack and Davey were friends.
Lesson: Always tell someone if you’re being
bullied, and treat others – even bullies – how you want to be treated.
